Awlgrip D6600Q Wash Primer CF Base Quart - Chromate-Free Two-Component Etch Primer

The Awlgrip D6600Q Wash Primer CF Base is a two-component, chromate-free etch primer engineered for superior adhesion and simplified application. Formulated with Awlgrip's proprietary Controlled Fusion (CF) technology, this primer delivers a chemically fused intercoat bond that eliminates the need for sanding before applying subsequent coats — saving time and labor on the job.

Key Features:

• Chromate-Free Formula: Eliminates the use of high-hazard chromate chemicals while maintaining excellent corrosion resistance and adhesion performance
• Controlled Fusion (CF) Technology: Unique chemical system that creates a tightly fused intercoat layer between the CF-based coating and the next applied coat
• Extended Re-coat Window: CF technology allows for extended re-coat times, providing greater scheduling flexibility during application
• No Sanding Required: Eliminates the need to sand between coats when overcoating with compatible CF-based systems
• Excellent Multi-Substrate Adhesion: Bonds strongly to stainless steel and anodized aluminum — common substrates in marine and industrial applications
• Topcoat Compatible: Can be directly overcoated with Awlgrip HS and Awlcraft 2000 topcoat systems
• Quart Size: Convenient quart container suitable for smaller projects and touch-up applications

Awlgrip Wash Primer CF Base is the ideal foundation coat for marine vessels, aluminum structures, and stainless steel components where long-lasting adhesion and a safe, low-hazard primer system are required. As the base component of a two-part system, it must be mixed with its designated converter before use.
