The Awlgrip Awlwood MA Matte Clear Finish (J3810Q) is a premium exterior wood coating designed for above-waterline marine applications. Part of the complete Awlwood MA two-part system, this matte clear topcoat works in concert with Awlwood MA Primers to deliver a synergistic bond that penetrates deep into the wood's cellular structure — providing long-lasting protection while preserving the wood's natural color, grain, and depth of image (DOI).

• Inherently non-yellowing polymer further stabilized with high-performance UV absorbers bonded directly to the resin, delivering multi-season clarity and excellent gloss and DOI retention
• Elastomeric cured film remains permanently flexible, offering outstanding toughness and abrasion resistance while allowing natural wood movement
• Flex-Link molecular technology locks the primer to the wood structure — including tropical hardwoods — for a superior bond and extended re-coat cycle times
• High-build, fast-curing formula allows multiple coats per day; can be overcoated in as little as 1.5 to 4 hours with little or no sanding required between coats
• Coverage: 62–75 square feet per quart; dry to touch in approximately 2 hours at 77°F, dry hard in 24 hours
• Application temperature range: 40°F to 85°F; relative humidity 30%–95%
• Can be applied by brush, roller, or spray; reduce up to 10% with T0201 Brushing Reducer or T0202 Spray Reducer as needed
• For exterior, above-waterline use only

Matte Finish Application Tip: For best results, build up your finish coats using Awlwood MA Clear Gloss, then apply one final coat of this Matte Finish to achieve the desired satin appearance. The more coats applied, the greater the depth of finish.

Sold as a 1-quart unit. Use with Awlwood MA Primers (available in Clear, Red, or Yellow base) and Awlwood standard reducers. For high-temperature or high-humidity environments, consider Awlwood MA Multi-Climate Gloss (J4000Q).
