VHT SP106 FlameProof Coating is a professional-grade,
high-temperature ceramic coating designed to protect surfaces
exposed to extreme heat. This flat silver finish is part of VHT's
three-stage coating system and features a matte silicone ceramic
base trusted by automotive and aerospace industries for exhaust
systems, jet engines, and re-entry vehicles.
Key Features:
- Withstands temperatures up to 2000?F (1093?C) when properly
cured
- Matte finish ceramic silicone formulation for superior heat
resistance
- Ideal for headers, exhaust manifolds, turbo housings, and
high-heat components
- Part of a complete coating system?works best with VHT primer
and clear coat
- Extends the life of surfaces exposed to extreme
temperatures
- 11 oz. aerosol can for easy application
Curing Process:
VHT FlameProof Coating achieves its maximum temperature
resistance only after proper curing. Two curing methods are
available:
On-Vehicle Curing: After paint is completely
dry, idle engine for 10 minutes, cool 20 minutes, idle 20 minutes,
cool 20 minutes, then run at normal operating temperature for 30
minutes.
Off-Vehicle Curing: Heat to 250?F for 30
minutes, cool 30 minutes, heat to 400?F for 30 minutes, cool 30
minutes, heat to 650?F for 30 minutes. Do not exceed the
temperature tolerance of the base metal or least heat-tolerant
component.
Complete application and curing instructions are printed on each
can. This product cannot be shipped to Catalina Island.
