The Fastway 95-01-5150 Sway Bracket Jacket was designed to quiet the ride and reduce wear on the L-brackets of Equal-i-zer and Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch systems. These jackets help eliminate the loud squeaking sound of metal-on-metal from the bars scraping against the brackets on the trailer when turning and reversing, providing a more peaceful towing experience.
Key Features:
Installation is simple: slide it over the bottom of the L-bracket, around the curve, and up the back, then let it drop back over the top of the foot and secure the spring arm with the L-pin and clip. While the jackets slightly reduce the amount of friction sway control provided by the L-bracket assemblies, this reduction is minimal and barely noticeable because the majority of the hitch's integrated sway control comes from the rotational friction surfaces.
