Tecnoseal X8 Shaft Anode Zinc 1-3/4" Shaft

The Tecnoseal X8 is a high-quality zinc shaft anode designed to provide superior galvanic corrosion protection for propeller shafts in saltwater marine environments. This collar-style anode clamps securely around 1-3/4" diameter shafts, serving as a sacrificial metal that corrodes preferentially to protect valuable underwater metal components including the propeller shaft, propeller, rudder, and other through-hull fittings.

Key Specifications:

• Material: Zinc alloy formulated for saltwater use
• Shaft Size: Fits 1-3/4" (1.75") diameter shafts
• Outer Diameter: 3.20"
• Height: 3.06"
• Weight: 2.56 lbs
• Mounting: 4-hole design for secure attachment with included hardware

Features & Benefits:

• Prevents costly corrosion damage to underwater metals
• Split collar design allows installation without removing the propeller
• Precision-machined for uniform fit and maximum electrical contact
• Four mounting holes ensure secure, vibration-resistant installation
• Manufactured to stringent military specifications

Tecnoseal anodes are recognized worldwide for their quality and reliability. The X8 model provides the ideal balance of anode mass and compact size for medium-sized vessels. Regular inspection and replacement of shaft anodes is essential for maintaining effective corrosion protection—anodes should be replaced when 50% depleted.
