Product Details

The Davis Instruments 6450 Solar Radiation Sensor is a precision meteorological instrument designed to measure solar radiation for use with Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2 weather stations. This sensor is essential for monitoring evapotranspiration when used in conjunction with an anemometer and temperature/humidity sensor.

Key Features:

  • Silicon photo diode technology provides accurate spectral response matching the solar spectrum
  • Precision-engineered diffuser element and housing ensure accurate cosine response for reliable measurements
  • Two-piece housing design minimizes radiation heating while allowing convection cooling of the sensor
  • Weather-resistant construction prevents water and dust intrapping for long-term reliability
  • Integrated bubble level simplifies proper installation and alignment
  • Includes 2-foot (0.6 meter) cable for connection to weather station console
  • Compatible with both original Vantage Pro and Vantage Pro2 weather station systems

This sensor comes standard with Vantage Pro Plus and Vantage Pro2 Plus systems but can be added to standard Vantage Pro models for enhanced weather monitoring capabilities. Note that a sensor mounting shelf may be required for installation depending on your station configuration.
