Product Details

The Blue Sea Systems 4017 CableCap provides essential protection for battery terminals against accidental short circuits and corrosion. These insulating terminal covers are designed to prevent dangerous cross-current shorts that can occur when tools or other conductive materials accidentally bridge positive and negative battery terminals, reducing the risk of sparks and potential fires.

Key Features:

  • Elastic PVC construction for easy installation and secure fit
  • Attaches directly to battery cables on SAE post terminals
  • Color-coded red and black for positive and negative terminal identification
  • Reduces terminal corrosion by covering exposed connections
  • Sold in pairs (one red, one black)
  • Backed by Blue Sea Systems lifetime warranty

Specifications:

  • Fits wire sizes: 1/0 AWG and 2/0 AWG cables
  • Terminal type: SAE standard battery posts
  • Material: Elastic PVC

Ideal for marine, RV, automotive, and off-grid battery installations where terminals are exposed in battery boxes or open compartments. The large size accommodates heavier gauge cables commonly used in high-amperage applications.
