The Teleflex HS5183 is a complete hydraulic steering cylinder seal kit designed for SeaStar (now Dometic) BA 175-7 series inboard brass cylinders. This comprehensive rebuild kit includes all the necessary seals and o-rings to restore proper hydraulic steering performance on inboard-powered boats.

Compatible Cylinder Models:

  • HC5319 (BA 175-7TM)
  • HC5350 (BA 175-7TMB)
  • HC5356 (BA 175-7TMC)
  • HC5373 (BA 175-9TM)

  • 1 Wiper Ring
  • 2 Quad Rings
  • 2 U-Cups
  • 2 O-Rings
  • 2 Retaining Rings
  • 1 Molded End Cap

Application: Designed for inboard hydraulic steering systems on pleasure and work boats up to 50 feet. Compatible with single or twin engine installations, and suitable for both single and dual rudder vessels.

Important Installation Note: Before replacing seals, carefully inspect the cylinder shaft surface for any damage such as scratches, burrs, dents, dings, or pitting. Do not install replacement seals on a damaged shaft, as the cylinder will require replacement if shaft damage is present.

This seal kit is manufactured to OEM specifications for reliable performance in the harsh marine environment, ensuring smooth and easy steering operation.
