Digital Yacht

About Digital Yacht

Digital Yacht is a UK-based marine electronics manufacturer with a well-earned reputation for pushing the boundaries of onboard navigation, communication, and connectivity. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Bristol, England, the company has grown from a single innovative product into a globally recognized brand whose electronics are sold in more than 100 countries worldwide. With an engineering team boasting deep experience in marine systems and a commitment to open, NMEA-certified technology, Digital Yacht has become a go-to source for boaters who want cutting-edge electronics without compromising compatibility.

Innovation Rooted in Real-World Boating

Digital Yacht's story began with a single insight: that dedicated marine electronics and modern consumer devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops should work seamlessly together on the water. That philosophy drove the development of their landmark iAIS wireless AIS receiver — one of the first products to bring Automatic Identification System data to an iPad — and it continues to shape every product the company releases today. From advanced GPS sensors to 4G/5G cellular routers, Digital Yacht consistently bridges the gap between professional-grade marine technology and the connected devices sailors already carry aboard.

Their broad catalog of electronics parts and accessories reflects this mission. Whether you need AIS transponders, long-range Wi-Fi adapters, or GNSS positioning sensors, Digital Yacht designs these components to integrate cleanly into both new and legacy boat networks, extending the capability of your existing electronics at a fraction of the cost of a full replacement system.

NMEA Integration and Connectivity

One of Digital Yacht's signature strengths is their depth of expertise in marine data networking. Their lineup of NMEA 2000 interface cables and connectors — including the popular iKonvert and veKonvert series — provides practical, cost-effective solutions for bridging dedicated marine instruments with modern consumer devices. Whether you're routing GPS data to a navigation app or connecting a VHF radio to a chartplotter, these interfaces make network integration straightforward, even on older vessels.

Vessel Monitoring and Power Management

Digital Yacht has also expanded into onboard energy awareness. Their battery monitors and volt meters are engineered to work with multifunction displays, turning a standard MFD into a sophisticated battery and energy management interface. This approach reflects Digital Yacht's broader design ethos: add powerful new functionality without requiring a wholesale system overhaul.

Entertainment and Signal Solutions

Staying entertained and informed at anchor or underway is made easier with Digital Yacht's marine-grade TV antennas, designed to pull in reliable signals in the challenging RF environment found at sea. Rounding out the lineup, their extensive range of navigation parts and accessories — from high-precision GNSS sensors to compass modules and navigation software — ensures every aspect of safe, confident passage-making is covered.

Why Boaters Choose Digital Yacht

Open-standard design: Products are NMEA-certified and built to work with third-party apps, software, and hardware.

Global reach, UK craftsmanship: Designed and manufactured in the UK with US and European distribution support.

Future-ready connectivity: Continuously evolving product lines cover 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, and AIS technologies.

Broad compatibility: Solutions exist for everything from small sailing dinghies to superyachts.

Product Details

The Digital Yacht SPL1500 is an advanced VHF/AIS antenna splitter that enables a single existing VHF antenna to be shared between both a VHF radio and an AIS system. Unlike basic passive splitters, the SPL1500 features Digital Yacht's patented ZeroLoss™ technology and can safely support Class B AIS transponders in addition to AIS receivers.

Key Features:

 • Patented ZeroLoss™ technology ensures optimal reception and transmission performance for both devices
 • Compatible with Class B AIS transponders and AIS receivers
 • Special circuitry ensures safe operation when both VHF and AIS transmit
 • Fail-safe design maintains VHF radio operation even if splitter loses power
 • Three simple connections: one input for main VHF antenna, separate outputs for AIS and VHF radio
 • Three status LEDs indicate power status and transmission activity for both AIS and VHF
 • Waterproof construction suitable for marine environments (IPX5 rating)
 • Compatible with both 12V and 24V DC power systems

What's Included:

 • Power cable
 • PL259-PL259 cable assembly (0.5m)
 • BNC-BNC cable assembly (0.5m)

The SPL1500 is designed to match the aesthetics of Digital Yacht's AIT1500 transponder series and simplifies installation by eliminating the need for a dedicated AIS antenna. Ideal for center consoles, tenders, RIBs, and smaller sailboats where minimizing antenna clutter is important.

fast and easy

So far So good

On drivers side, tube was contacting the body trim (2014 Toyota Access cab) after torqueing the bolts. Gap between body and tube was not uniform. Added small shim at center mount and approximately 1/4 inch shim in the front to achieve clearance and uniform gap. Longer bolt required. Right side installed perfect with no issues.

It has been good. The only confusing thing was whether the different anco model blades were winter or not (I want winter). E.g. c26-oe and a26-oe versus 3026oe.

Best price for the tank and shipping out there!!!
