The Tuggy Products AB4000R Anchor Buddy is a stretching anchor rope designed to make beaching and shoreside anchoring simple, safe, and stress-free. Built from a hollow braid polypropylene cover over an internal bungee cord, the Anchor Buddy naturally absorbs shock from waves and swells — keeping your anchor set and your boat protected.

The unique construction works similarly to a Chinese finger cuff: the polypro weave loosens and expands at rest but tightens and narrows under tension. The internal bungee provides elasticity, while the polypropylene sheath provides the structural strength that limits maximum stretch. At full extension, the load transfers primarily to the polypro cover for a secure hold.

How It Works:

1. Drop anchor approximately 30 feet from shore
2. Motor or row to shore — the Anchor Buddy stretches as you go
3. Tie off to your shore line or step off the boat
4. Pay out your retrieval/bow line — the Anchor Buddy retracts, pulling your boat safely back to anchor in deeper water
