The Sierra 18-6117Z is a marine-grade trim tab zinc sacrificial anode designed to protect MerCruiser Bravo I, II, and III sterndrive lower units from galvanic corrosion. As a sacrificial anode, this zinc component attracts electrolytic activity and corrodes in place of the more valuable metal components on your sterndrive, extending the service life of your lower unit hardware.

Zinc anodes are the preferred choice for saltwater and brackish water applications, where galvanic corrosion risk is greatest. Sierra's 18-6117Z is manufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications, making it a reliable direct replacement for Mercury and MerCruiser factory anodes.
