Product Details

The Sierra 18-6118A is an aluminum cylinder block anode engineered to protect Yamaha outboard engine cylinder blocks from galvanic corrosion. Serving as a direct replacement for Yamaha OEM part numbers 68V-11325-00-00 and 68V-11325-01-00, this anode meets or exceeds the original equipment specification it replaces.

Key Features:

  • Aluminum construction — Ideal for brackish water use or boats operated in both freshwater and saltwater environments
  • OEM interchangeable — Direct replacement for Yamaha OEM part numbers 68V-11325-00-00 and 68V-11325-01-00
  • Sacrificial protection — Corrodes preferentially to shield the cylinder block and surrounding metal components from galvanic corrosion
  • Includes one (1) aluminum cylinder block anode per package
  • Meets or exceeds original equipment quality standards

Aluminum anodes offer superior performance in mixed-use or brackish water environments compared to zinc anodes, making this an excellent choice for boaters who navigate both fresh and saltwater. Regular inspection and replacement of sacrificial anodes is essential to maintaining engine longevity and preventing costly corrosion damage.
