The Sierra 18-2728 Water Tube Seal is an OEM-quality replacement seal designed for use in Mercury/Mariner and Chrysler/Force outboard motors. This seal is a critical component of the outboard's water pump system, ensuring a watertight connection around the water tube that delivers cooling water from the lower unit up through the powerhead.
Sierra manufactures this seal to meet or exceed the original equipment specifications it replaces, providing reliable performance in demanding marine environments. It directly replaces Mercury Marine OEM part number 26-42102-1.
Key Features:
The Sierra 18-2728 Water Tube Seal is also included as part of the Sierra 18-2697-1 Lower Unit Seal Kit, making it a key element of any thorough lower unit service. Whether replacing a worn or damaged seal during routine maintenance or a water pump rebuild, this part ensures proper cooling system integrity for your outboard motor.
