The RAM Mounts RAP-B-400U Tough-Claw Small Clamp Base is a versatile, tool-free mounting solution designed to quickly attach to round, square, and irregularly shaped rails and bars. Tightening with a simple turn of the knob, the Tough-Claw clamps securely onto rail and tube surfaces ranging from 0.625" to 1.5" outer diameter, and onto flat surfaces up to 1.14" thick — no tools required for installation or removal.
Built for durability across demanding environments, the Tough-Claw features high-strength glass-filled nylon construction with corrosion-resistant stainless steel hardware. Integrated rubber pads inside the clamp jaw protect mounting surfaces from scuffs and marring while providing a stable, even grip. The clamp jaw geometry accommodates round, flat, and odd-shaped profiles with ease.
Included with this base is a B-Size 1" diameter rubber ball, which interfaces with the full range of RAM double socket arms and cradle accessories (sold separately), enabling nearly infinite positional adjustment for your device.
