Megaware KeelGuard 27051 SkegGuard Stainless Steel Skeg Protector for MerCruiser Bravo

The Megaware KeelGuard 27051 SkegGuard is a marine-grade stainless steel skeg protector engineered to both prevent skeg damage and serve as a cost-effective replacement for an already broken skeg. Designed specifically for MerCruiser Bravo I and III stern drives, this skeg guard offers a durable, low-profile defense against the everyday hazards of boating.

Key Features:

• Marine-Grade 316 Stainless Steel — Mirror-polished, 18-gauge construction built to withstand the harshest saltwater and freshwater environments
• Reinforced 3mm Wear Tab — Thickened lower plate absorbs impact from submerged rocks, stumps, hidden debris, and ramp dragging where the skeg is most vulnerable
• Drain Hole — Prevents water from collecting inside the guard, reducing the risk of corrosion and freeze damage
• Performance-Neutral Fit — Conforms precisely to the lower unit with no discernible drag or loss of performance
• Easy DIY Installation — Installs in under 10 minutes using common tools and self-locking hardware; can be installed with as little as 2–3 inches of original skeg remaining
• 3-Year Warranty — Backed by Megaware's industry-leading warranty for lasting peace of mind

Whether you're protecting a healthy skeg from future damage or replacing one that's already been broken, the Megaware 27051 SkegGuard is a far more affordable alternative to costly welding or lower-unit replacement. Note: Not compatible with XR Sport models.
