This bobbin should be replaced after each inflation or according to the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule. When the bobbin contacts water, it dissolves to release the firing pin, which punctures the CO2 cylinder and inflates the life jacket. Store the bobbin in a cool, dry place and refer to your owner's manual for proper rearming instructions.
