A Century of Marine Electronics Innovation

Raymarine's heritage in marine innovation traces back to 1923, when the first commercial fathometer was developed, marking the beginning of a legacy that would transform navigation and safety on the water. The Raymarine brand was formed in 2001 through a management buyout of Raytheon's marine division, and has since become a trusted name among recreational boaters, fishing captains, and professional mariners worldwide. In 2010, the company was acquired by FLIR Systems, bringing advanced thermal imaging capabilities to their product lineup.

What sets Raymarine apart is their commitment to pioneering technology that addresses real challenges on the water. The company created the first autopilot system for recreational boats in 1974 and developed the SeaTalk language for electronic devices to connect via a single cable in 1989, innovations that fundamentally changed how boaters interact with their vessels. Today, their electronics lineup includes cutting-edge multifunction displays, radar systems, and navigation tools engineered to withstand the harsh marine environment while delivering intuitive operation.

Professional-Grade Electronics for Every Mariner

The core of Raymarine's reputation lies in their comprehensive marine electronics offerings. Their full range includes chartplotters, fishfinders, radars, marine instruments, marine cameras, AIS units and VHF radios, all designed with the rugged demands of maritime use in mind. Their customers include offshore fishing captains, luxury cruising boat skippers, sailors and professional mariners, and they're the trusted navigation system supplier to the U.S. Coast Guard, a testament to the reliability and performance of their systems.

Beyond primary navigation displays, Raymarine's transducers and accessories ensure seamless integration and enhanced functionality across their product ecosystem. From CHIRP sonar transducers that deliver exceptional underwater imaging to networking cables and mounting hardware, these components are engineered to work together flawlessly. The company adopted FLIR's philosophy of Commercial Developed Military Qualified (CDMQ) product development, delivering marine electronics renowned for their rugged design and reliability.

Innovation That Keeps Boaters Safe

Raymarine has continued to push the boundaries of what's possible in marine electronics, from trailblazing the use of compact radar systems for small vessels to introducing leading-edge sensors. Their commitment to safety and ease of use extends to every product category, whether you're outfitting a fishing boat, cruiser, or commercial vessel. Their products are engineered for the tough marine environment and renowned for ease-of-use, rugged design and reliability, ensuring that boaters can depend on their equipment when it matters most.

With close to 100 years of technological innovation on the water, Raymarine has offices in 12 countries and partners with over 7,500 dealers and installers in 110 countries. Product Details

The Raymarine AIS700 is a Class B Automatic Identification System (AIS) transceiver that provides full transmit and receive capabilities for enhanced marine navigation safety and situational awareness. This transceiver not only receives broadcasts from other vessels but also transmits your boat's information including vessel name, identification, course, and speed, making your boat visible to other AIS-equipped vessels.

Advanced SO-TDMA Technology:

The AIS700 utilizes the latest SO-TDMA (Self Organized Time Division Multiple Access) networking technology, delivering faster performance and longer range capabilities compared to previous generation AIS products. This advanced technology ensures reliable vessel tracking even in congested waterways.

Key Features:

 • Built-in VHF antenna splitter simplifies installation by allowing the unit to share a single antenna with your existing VHF radio
 • Dedicated 72-channel GPS receiver with external GNSS antenna provides accurate positioning as required by international standards
 • Silent Mode capability (hardware or software switchable) allows you to temporarily restrict broadcasting your vessel's data while continuing to receive AIS traffic—useful for enhanced security or competitive scenarios
 • Multiple connectivity options: NMEA2000, NMEA0183, SeaTalkng, and USB 2.0 for seamless integration with multifunction displays, chartplotters, radar displays, and onboard electronics
 • Built-in NMEA0183 multiplexer assists in connecting to older MFD and VHF radio systems
 • SD memory slot for continuous AIS data recording
 • Compact design enables flexible mounting inside helm, service locker, or other out-of-the-way locations

What's Included:

 • AIS700 transceiver with built-in VHF antenna splitter
 • GNSS (GPS) antenna with gasket and pole mount kit
 • Power/data cable (2 meters / 6.56 feet)
 • VHF radio antenna interconnect cable (1 meter / 3.28 feet)
 • DeviceNet to SeaTalkng adapter cable (1 meter / 3.28 feet)
 • Mounting hardware and documentation

The AIS700 is compatible with Raymarine multifunction navigation display systems and other manufacturers' displays that support standard AIS protocols. FCC regulations require professional programming of MMSI information by a qualified technician for US installations.

Easily found what I was looking for. Arrived quickly. Unfortunately, although the website said the product fit my car, it didn't. In fact the label on the product (pedal pads for Mazda Miata) indicated they were for a later version of the car, even though the website indicated they'd fit. Customer service was very responsive and refunded my money right away.

Fairly smooth ordering but hard to do on a small smart phone.
