Product Details

The SeaStar Solutions HP6013 is a high-strength stainless steel rod end ball joint designed for use with SeaStar hydraulic marine steering cylinders. This precision-machined replacement component connects the steering cylinder to the tiller arm, maintaining secure and responsive hydraulic steering performance in demanding marine environments.

Key Features:

  • Material: High-strength stainless steel construction with a PTFE-lined ball joint for smooth, corrosion-resistant operation
  • Ball Joint Eye Size: 5/8"
  • Thread Specification: 5/8" x 18 UNF female threaded end
  • Application: Marine inboard hydraulic steering cylinders, including SeaStar cylinders HC5318, HC5369, HC5349, HC5351, and others (including -3 suffix variants)

Installation Notes:

  • Always apply thread lock to the rod end ball joint to prevent separation from the cylinder shaft
  • Do not clamp or grip the stainless steel shaft with vice grips or channel locks, as this may cause permanent damage
  • Lubricate the ball end with quality marine grease prior to reinstallation

Ordering was easy and product arrived in a reasonable amount of time. No complaints with respect to order and delivery. Although, note my comment regarding product packaging. I ordered two each like Fram Air Filters. Both filters arrived in their original boxes, which were both placed into a single larger box for shipping. Upon arrival, the Fram boxes were severely damaged as if someone had been using them as footballs. Fortunately, the air filters within were not physically damaged. The company who shipped this order to me needs to do a better job of packaging and/or use heavier boxes to prevent damage of content.

Product was as described although the brackets to attach windshield to bike were not very user friendly.

As I just placed order for the Warrior products 867 pair. I would say my experience has been great. Let's see if they meet expectations for receipt of the product and whether it is as advertised. I will say lowest price I could find for what I ordered. But it comes up as $94.10 on line search but showed $96.** on web site. Not sure why the descepency. Would have preferred the price advertised.
