Fusion Electronics USA: Marine Audio Engineered for Life on the Water

Fusion Electronics USA — operating under the Fusion Entertainment brand — has earned a reputation as one of the most trusted names in marine audio. Founded in New Zealand in 1998 as a car audio company, Fusion quickly pivoted to the marine environment, where its engineering philosophy found a natural home. Today, Fusion is a brand of Garmin, cementing its place in the broader ecosystem of marine electronics that boaters rely on every day on the water.

Built for the Marine Environment

What separates Fusion from generic audio brands is a commitment to true marine-grade construction. Their products feature IPX-rated waterproof housings, UV-resistant materials, and corrosion-proof hardware — designed not just to survive on a boat, but to thrive there. Whether you're running through coastal chop or anchored on a calm lake, Fusion systems are engineered to deliver clean, powerful audio over engine noise, wind, and wake.

Central to the Fusion lineup is Fusion-Link technology — an industry-standard protocol that allows boaters to control their audio directly from partnered marine multifunction displays (MFDs), compatible Apple or Android devices via a dedicated app, and even select Garmin smartwatches. This level of integration sets Fusion apart in a category where most competitors still rely on standalone controls.

A Complete Marine Audio Ecosystem

Fusion's product range covers everything a boater needs to build a complete, high-performance audio system. Their marine stereos — including the celebrated Apollo and MS-RA series — serve as the command center for multi-zone audio management aboard everything from center consoles to offshore cruisers. Pair those head units with Fusion's marine speakers, and you have a system tuned specifically for the acoustic challenges of open-air, on-water listening.

Beyond speakers and stereos, Fusion's stereo and electronic accessories — including remotes, antenna components, mounting hardware, and dock connectors — make it easy to customize and expand a marine audio setup. For clean, reliable signal and power delivery throughout the vessel, Fusion also offers a range of wiring and cable solutions engineered to withstand the demanding marine electrical environment.

Why Boaters Choose Fusion

Purpose-built marine construction with IPX waterproof ratings

Seamless Garmin and NMEA 2000 integration for chartplotter audio control

Fusion-Link app support for wireless control from smartphones and smartwatches

Multi-zone audio management across the entire vessel

Wide product range from entry-level to flagship Apollo series systems

Industry-recognized warranty and reliability

Whether you're upgrading a weekend fishing boat or outfitting a new cruiser, Fusion Electronics USA offers a complete, scalable marine audio ecosystem that grows with your setup.

Product Details

The Fusion CAB000863 is a non-powered NMEA 2000 drop cable designed to connect the Fusion MS-RA205 marine stereo or MS-BB300 to an existing NMEA 2000 T-connector on your vessel's network. This cable is sold separately and is not included with the MS-RA205 unit.

Key Features:

 • Connects the Fusion MS-RA205 or MS-BB300 to an NMEA 2000 network via T-connector
 • Non-powered design — data communication without requiring additional power from the network
 • 36-inch (3 ft) cable length for flexible installation routing
 • Enables the MS-RA205 to communicate with Fusion MS-NRX200i wired remotes on the same NMEA 2000 network
 • Enables FUSION-Link control from compatible Multi-Function Displays (MFDs) connected to the same NMEA 2000 network
 • Compatible exclusively with the MS-RA205 and MS-BB300 — not compatible with other Fusion stereo models

Once connected, the MS-RA205 integrates fully into the vessel's NMEA 2000 backbone, allowing seamless audio control from compatible chartplotters, fish finders, and other FUSION-Link enabled multi-function displays. This cable replaces the CAB000862 powered drop cable when a non-powered network connection is required.
