Megaware KeelGuard 40131 BatteryGuard Shock & Vibration Absorbing Battery Protector Mat

The Megaware KeelGuard BatteryGuard (MPN 40131) is a shock-absorbing battery protector mat designed to extend the life of virtually any battery by shielding it from the damaging effects of vibration and impact. Placed directly under the battery in its tray or box, the BatteryGuard absorbs G-shock caused by rough water, road impacts, and mechanical vibration — two of the leading causes of premature battery failure.

When a battery is subjected to repeated shock and vibration, microfractures form at mechanical joints inside the battery and its cells, degrading performance and shortening lifespan. The BatteryGuard mat absorbs up to 80% of this G-shock, helping maintain the battery's internal structure and ensuring consistent conductivity over time.

Key Features:

• Absorbs up to 80% of G-shock caused by excessive shock and vibration
• Fits virtually any battery up to Group 31 size (12.75" x 6.88" x 0.375")
• Compatible with deep-cycle, lead-acid, AGM, and lithium-ion battery types
• Features a grid pattern for easy trimming to custom shapes or sizes with scissors or a utility knife
• Multiple mats can be used together for batteries larger than Group 31
• Ideal for boats, RVs, ATVs, semi-trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, and off-road vehicles
• Made in the USA

Installation is straightforward — simply place the mat flat in a clean, dry battery tray and set the battery on top. The BatteryGuard is a low-cost solution to protect your battery investment and reduce the risk of unexpected failures in demanding environments.
