This transom seal is designed as a replacement for OMC Stringer stern drives manufactured from 1978 to 1986. The seal creates a critical waterproof barrier between the transom assembly and the intermediate housing on the sterndrive, preventing water intrusion into the boat.

This transom seal is a critical maintenance component for OMC Cobra and Stringer sterndrive systems. When replacing the transom seal, it is recommended to inspect the mounting ring plate and use proper marine-grade adhesive for installation to ensure a watertight seal.
