Quicksilver 8M0171103 U-Joint Seal Carrier Assembly MerCruiser Sterndrive

The Quicksilver 8M0171103 U-Joint Seal Carrier is a genuine OEM Mercury-Quicksilver replacement part designed for MerCruiser sterndrive upper units. This precision-machined carrier assembly houses the yoke shaft seal, maintaining a watertight barrier around the driveshaft yoke to protect internal sterndrive components from water intrusion and contamination.

This carrier assembly supersedes several earlier Mercury part numbers, including 66081A2, 66081A1, 35993A1, and 66081A4, making it the current factory-approved replacement across a wide range of MerCruiser applications spanning multiple decades of production.

Key Features:

• Genuine OEM Quicksilver/Mercury-Mercruiser factory part — not aftermarket
• Houses the u-joint seal to prevent water intrusion into the driveshaft housing
• Direct replacement for legacy part numbers 66081A2, 66081A1, 35993A1, and 66081A4
• Compatible with MC-I, R, MR, Alpha One, Alpha One Gen II, SSM II/III/IV/V, Vazer Drive, and EZ Shift drive platforms
• Manufactured to Mercury Marine's stringent OEM performance specifications

When servicing the u-joint area of a MerCruiser sterndrive, it is recommended to inspect and replace the seal within the carrier to ensure a proper seat against the yoke shaft seal surface. The Quicksilver brand is part of the Mercury Marine family of companies and is the premier supplier of Mercury Marine original equipment replacement parts.
