Quicksilver 8M0164160 Dry Joint Exhaust Manifold & Elbow Conversion Kit MerCruiser V6

The Quicksilver 8M0164160 is a genuine Mercury Marine OEM dry joint exhaust conversion kit designed for MerCruiser small block V6 engines. This complete kit provides everything needed to upgrade from an older wet joint exhaust system to the more durable and modern dry joint exhaust design.

Key Features:

• Complete wet-to-dry joint exhaust conversion kit for MCM small block V6 engines
• Converts 2-piece wet joint exhaust manifold and 4 in. O.D. center rise 7-degree exhaust elbows to dry joint exhaust manifolds and elbows
• Designed for engines with standard cooling and no risers
• Genuine Mercury Marine / Quicksilver OEM factory part — not aftermarket
• Includes all necessary components for a complete conversion in a single kit

Engine Compatibility:

• 1987–2004 MCM V6 sterndrive engines (serial number 0W309999 and below)
• Fits V6 engines with the 2-piece wet joint or dry joint 4 in. O.D. center rise 7-degree exhaust elbows

Important Notes:

• Engines equipped with freshwater (closed-loop) cooling and/or risers may require additional exhaust elbow gaskets, ordered separately
• Verify fitment using your MerCruiser engine serial number before installation

Upgrading to a dry joint exhaust system eliminates the water-cooled joint connection between the manifold and elbow, reducing a common point of corrosion and failure on older MerCruiser marine engines. This Quicksilver kit ensures OEM-quality fit and performance for a reliable, long-lasting exhaust system.
