The Edelbrock 9266 Heat Insulator Gasket is engineered to eliminate fuel percolation issues on Edelbrock Performer Series carburetors subjected to extreme under-hood temperatures. This 0.320-inch thick phenolic gasket creates a thermal barrier between the carburetor and intake manifold, preventing heat transfer that can cause fuel boiling and vapor lock conditions.

Installation Notes:

Before installation, verify adequate air cleaner-to-hood clearance to accommodate the additional 0.320" height. Installation requires removal of existing short carburetor studs and replacement with longer studs to accommodate the gasket thickness.
