The Interlux InterProtect 2000E is a high-performance two-part epoxy primer designed to protect fiberglass, metal, and wood boat hulls from water absorption and osmotic blistering. This proven barrier coating system has been an industry standard since 1986, trusted by boaters and professionals throughout North America.

Key Features:

  • Microplates technology creates millions of overlapping microscopic barriers that eliminate direct water migration paths
  • Versatile "keel to mast" primer suitable for use above and below the waterline
  • Excellent adhesion to fiberglass, composite, aluminum, steel, lead, and wood substrates
  • Ideal for both new hull protection and gelcoat blister repair
  • Safe for use on aluminum hulls and outdrives
  • Gray color allows for easy coverage verification when alternating with white
  • Can be applied by brush, roller, or spray equipment
  • 3:1 mix ratio by volume (base and curing agent included in kit)

This quart kit includes both the gray base (Y2000E) and curing agent (Y2001E), providing approximately 240 square feet of coverage per gallon when applied by brush or roller. The system typically requires 2-3 coats for above-waterline applications and 4-5 coats for maximum barrier protection. Compatible with most Interlux antifouling paints for direct overcoating.
