Attwood Marine 9943B1 15-Pound Mushroom Anchor with Black PVC Coating

The Attwood Marine 9943B1 is a solid cast iron mushroom anchor designed to provide reliable holding power for small to medium-sized boats. Weighing 15 pounds, this anchor features a traditional mushroom design that works by settling into soft bottoms like mud, sand, or silt, making it ideal for use as a mooring anchor or for temporary anchoring in calm conditions.

Key Features:

• Solid cast iron construction for maximum strength and durability
• Black PVC coating protects against corrosion and extends anchor life
• 15-pound weight provides suitable holding power for boats up to approximately 25 feet
• Mushroom design works best in soft, silty, or muddy bottoms
• Excellent choice for mooring applications or as a river anchor
• Heavy weight helps anchor dig into bottom sediment for secure hold

Mushroom anchors are particularly effective in areas with soft bottoms where the broad, rounded shape can settle deeply into the substrate. The PVC coating on this anchor helps prevent rust and corrosion, especially important for marine environments. This anchor is commonly used for permanent moorings, small boat anchoring, or as a secondary anchor for larger vessels.
