Standard Horizon SCU-38 Passive GPS Antenna for Marine VHF Radios

The Standard Horizon SCU-38 is a passive GPS antenna designed to extend GPS reception capability for compatible Standard Horizon marine VHF radios. This external antenna solution enables your radio's internal GPS receiver to function effectively even when the radio is mounted in locations where the built-in GPS antenna cannot receive satellite signals, such as below deck or in enclosed cabins.

Key Features:

• 5-meter (16.4-foot) cable length provides flexible mounting options
• Passive antenna design works with radios equipped with built-in GPS receivers
• Compact external antenna mounts where it has clear sky view
• Simple plug-and-play installation with compatible radios

Compatible Models:

• Standard Horizon GX1400G
• Standard Horizon GX1800G
• Standard Horizon GX1850G
• Standard Horizon GX2400

Important Note: The SCU-38 is a passive antenna and requires a radio with a built-in GPS receiver to function. It will not add GPS capability to radios without internal GPS.

Ideal for boaters who need reliable GPS performance from their VHF radio regardless of installation location, the SCU-38 ensures consistent position reporting for DSC (Digital Selective Calling) and AIS functionality.
