Product Details

The Quicksilver 98356 is a genuine OEM gimbal housing upper bushing designed for MerCruiser sterndrive applications. This critical component provides a smooth bearing surface for the upper swivel shaft within the gimbal housing assembly, ensuring proper steering operation and protecting against premature wear.

Key Features:

  • Genuine Mercury Marine Quicksilver OEM part
  • Direct replacement for part number 23-98356
  • Works with the upper swivel shaft steering system
  • Compatible with MerCruiser Alpha One, Alpha Gen II, and Bravo sterndrives
  • Designed for square-to-square swivel shaft configurations (transom assembly serial number 6666130 and above)
  • Precision-engineered for proper fit and long service life

This bushing is the smaller of two bushings used on the upper swivel shaft assembly and works in conjunction with the larger lower bushing (part number 23-983571) and seal (part number 26-8M2005029). It is commonly replaced during gimbal housing maintenance, swivel shaft seal replacement, or steering system overhaul to ensure smooth steering response and prevent water intrusion.

Great support, decent prices and fast delivery!

Great delivery service. Quickly delivered

I got A small boat part and it came and was the perfect piece but the price and shipping seemed outrageous for something that small and simple? I will probably shop on other sites i the future and use boat plicity as a very last resort. Captain Dave Trip - Captain Dave's Cruises For Special Kids www.captaindavescruises.org

There was no reason to contact customer support. Everything was smooth.

It was great. On a scale of 1 of 10 - I would give thmotorsports a10. Thank You
