Product Details

The Quicksilver 16977 (also known as 26-16977) is a genuine OEM driveshaft oil seal designed for Mercury Marine outboard motors and MerCruiser stern drive lower units. This critical seal prevents gear oil leaks and water intrusion in the lower unit, protecting your engine's gearcase from catastrophic damage.

Key Features:

  • Genuine Mercury Marine OEM part for guaranteed fit and reliability
  • Shaft size: 0.875 inches for precise fitment
  • Outside diameter: 1.250 inches
  • Width: 0.188 inches
  • Prevents oil leaks and water contamination in lower unit
  • Essential component for lower unit rebuilds and maintenance

This seal is commonly replaced during lower unit service, water pump replacement, or when diagnosing water intrusion issues. Regular inspection and replacement of this seal helps prevent milky gear oil, corrosion, and expensive lower unit damage. Compatible with multiple Mercury outboard and MerCruiser stern drive models.

Cross-Reference Numbers: Mercury 26-16977, Sierra 18-2026, OMC 321453, GLM 85040

Got what I ordered, and great quality of the product., Thanks.

Thanks

I was not informed that my order was shipped out. When I called and asked about it the rep said it would ship out next week. Later that day I got a notice from FedEx that my order was out for delivery. The product I bought was the correct item I ordered ' brand new in the box' so everything was good in that way.

Delivery and service were great. But the packaging of the spar fly was far too large.

Fast and easy

please send it ASAP..thank you

Came in sooner than expected, and for a great price
