The Balmar 97XD-24-190 is a high-output, extra-large case marine alternator delivering 190 amps at 24 volts, purpose-built for large diesel propulsion engines including Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and John Deere powerplants. Featuring a J-180-style saddle mount (dual foot) configuration with a 4-inch mounting footprint, the 97XD fits as a direct replacement for standard J-180 mount alternators or can be installed as a second alternator on custom saddle-mount brackets.
