The Lectrotab XKAF9X12 is a complete trim tab system featuring 9" x 12" stainless steel tabs designed for boats 16 to 25 feet in length. This kit combines precision-engineered electric actuators with corrosion-resistant construction for reliable, maintenance-free performance.
Advanced Stainless Steel Design:
Each tab is fabricated from 12-gauge 304 stainless steel with a continuous rolled and pinned hinge that provides exceptional strength without welding. This robust construction ensures long-term durability in harsh marine environments.
Electric Actuator System:
Unlike hydraulic trim tabs, the Lectrotab system uses electric actuators housed in permanently sealed, non-metallic enclosures. This eliminates oil leaks, reduces maintenance, and provides very accurate tab positioning. The actuators deliver quiet operation with 1000 lbs of push force and feature an internal brake system that prevents unwanted tab movement when underway or backing down. The upper ram seal location is protected from damage due to fouled rams or barnacle growth, while an internal pressure equalization system ensures reliable operation.
Improved Flat Rocker Switch:
The included rocker switch features enhanced sealing to prevent water entry and a recessed design to prevent accidental breakage. It incorporates an instant-stop circuit that prevents actuator over-run when released, ensuring precise control.
