Southwire 40450RVC3 Surge Guard 50A Automatic Transfer Switch with Shore Power Sensing

The Southwire Surge Guard 40450RVC3 is a 50-amp, 120/240-volt Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) designed to seamlessly transfer power between shore power and your RV's generator. When shore power is connected and stable, the unit automatically selects it as the primary source; when shore power is lost or out of acceptable range, it switches to generator power — all without any manual intervention.

Beyond simple switching, the Surge Guard 40450RVC3 provides comprehensive electrical protection against the most common campground power hazards, safeguarding your RV's sensitive appliances and systems.

Key Features:

• Automatic Transfer Switching — Seamlessly transfers load between shore power and generator with no manual steps required
• Shore Power Sensing — Continuously monitors incoming shore power quality and switches sources accordingly
• 50-Amp / 120/240-Volt Rated — Compatible with full-size 50A RV electrical systems
• Excessive Voltage Protection — Guards against damaging over-voltage and under-voltage conditions
• Mis-Wired Pedestal Detection — Identifies and protects against incorrectly wired shore power pedestals
• Open Neutral & Open Ground Protection — Detects and responds to missing neutral or ground connections
• High & Low Frequency Protection — Monitors line frequency and disconnects when out of safe range
