Southwire 41261-011 Surge Guard 50A Automatic Transfer Switch with Reverse Polarity Protection

The Southwire Surge Guard 41261-011 is a hardwired, generator-dominant automatic transfer switch (ATS) rated at 50 amps / 120-240V, designed to seamlessly manage power between shore power and an RV or mobile generator. Built with dual 80A Chint contactors and a mechanical interlock, it prevents both power sources from engaging simultaneously, ensuring safe and reliable operation at all times.

When generator power becomes available, the unit automatically transfers the load after a 30-second delay. Once the generator is shut down and shore power is present, it reverts back to shore power after approximately 3 seconds. The generator-dominant design always prioritizes generator power when both sources are active.
