CMP CMX05 Streamlined Shaft Anode 1-1/4 Inch Zinc

The CMP CMX05 is a streamlined shaft anode designed to protect inboard propeller shafts from galvanic corrosion in saltwater marine environments. This sacrificial anode fits 1-1/4 inch diameter prop shafts and shields critical underwater components from the damaging effects of stray electrical currents.

Key Features:

• Zinc alloy construction for saltwater applications
• Streamlined design minimizes drag while maximizing corrosion protection
• Two-piece interlocking halves with 100% circular radius for complete shaft coverage
• Pre-assembled with stainless steel Allen head bolts and lockwashers for secure installation
• Extra alloy material around fastener holes helps prevent erosive separation
• Made from high-purity specialized alloy based on US Mil-Spec standards

This shaft anode works by sacrificing itself to corrosion, protecting more expensive components like the propeller shaft, rudder, and other underwater fittings. The streamlined profile reduces the risk of entanglement and maintains efficient boat performance. Anodes should be replaced when approximately 70% eroded to maintain optimal protection.
