Product Details

Interlux Pre-Kote Plus is a one-part primer and undercoat that offers substrate protection and an ultra-smooth surface all in one. Designed for use above the waterline with Interlux one-part finishes and deck paints, it can be applied directly to most substrates, including properly prepared metal. This blue/gray quart size is ideal for topside marine painting projects.

  • Lower VOC formula with improved flow and aesthetics compared to traditional primers or undercoats alone
  • Excellent flow, leveling, and easy to sand properties make it DIY-friendly
  • Reduced working time with great substrate protection
  • Can be applied by brush, roller, or conventional spray for extra smooth application
  • Provides the perfect foundation for topcoat finishes

Application Guidelines:

  • Apply 2-4 coats depending on desired thickness
  • Coverage: approximately 440 sq. ft. per gallon per coat
  • Application temperature range: 41°F minimum to 95°F maximum
  • Surface imperfections should be corrected before application; sanding between coats is recommended
  • Can be thinned up to 10% if needed

Pre-Kote Plus is compatible with Interlux finishes including Bilgekote, Interdeck, Toplac Plus, and Watertite. This versatile primer-undercoat combination simplifies the painting process while delivering professional results for boat owners and marine professionals.
