<h3>Airmar Technology Corporation: Leaders in Marine Sensing</h3><p><strong>Airmar Technology Corporation</strong> has been at the forefront of acoustic and ultrasonic sensing since its founding in 1982 in Milford, New Hampshire. Over more than four decades, the company has grown from a single-product transducer manufacturer into the world&apos;s leading designer and maker of high-performance marine sensing technology — earning a reputation for precision, durability, and innovation across recreational, commercial, scientific, and military applications.</p><p>At the core of Airmar&apos;s identity is a deep expertise in ultrasonic technology. As one of the company&apos;s directors famously put it, Airmar doesn&apos;t build marine electronics — it builds high-end &quot;speakers.&quot; That philosophy has made Airmar the trusted OEM partner behind the transducer technology found inside some of the biggest names in marine electronics. From sport fishing to offshore surveying, Airmar products are engineered to deliver reliable, high-resolution data whether you&apos;re chasing gamefish in shallow freshwater or conducting hydrographic surveys at depth.</p><h3>Marine Transducers for Every Application</h3><p>Airmar&apos;s lineup of marine transducers spans everything from entry-level transom-mount sensors to professional-grade CHIRP thru-hull transducers capable of reading extraordinary depths. Their CHIRP-ready transducers operate across low, medium, high, and high-wide frequency bands, providing anglers and mariners with exceptional target separation, bottom detail, and depth performance. Crucially, Airmar&apos;s &quot;Mix &amp; Match&quot; cable system means a single transducer body can be paired with brand-specific adapter cables — making it easy to upgrade your electronics without swapping out the transducer itself.</p><p>Airmar transducers are engineered to work seamlessly with leading marine electronics platforms. Their <a href="/11479-airmar-raymarine-transducers-accessories-202422">Raymarine-compatible transducers and accessories</a> are a popular choice for Axiom and other Raymarine multifunction display users who want industry-leading sonar performance. Likewise, Airmar&apos;s <a href="/11479-airmar-humminbird-transducers-cables-accessories-202118">Humminbird-compatible transducers, cables, and accessories</a> — including dedicated 9-pin and 14-pin connector variants — integrate directly with Helix, SOLIX, and APEX fish finders for plug-and-play CHIRP capability.</p><h3>WeatherStation Instruments</h3><p>Beyond transducers, Airmar is renowned for its WeatherStation® instruments — all-in-one ultrasonic weather sensors that consolidate multiple measurement capabilities into a single compact, rugged housing. Using proprietary ultrasonic technology with no moving parts, these instruments measure wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and rainfall simultaneously. Because they rely on ultrasound rather than mechanical anemometers, they are immune to bearing wear and unaffected by salt, dirt, and marine fouling — making them exceptionally reliable in harsh environments.</p><p>WeatherStation instruments are deployed worldwide on fixed marine platforms, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), research vessels, and land-based weather monitoring stations. They are trusted by organizations ranging from recreational boaters to national oceanographic centers.</p><h3>Quality and Warranty</h3><p>Airmar&apos;s commitment to quality is reflected in its manufacturing process — largely hands-on and craftsmanship-driven — and in its warranty program. As of 2025, Airmar extended its standard product warranty to three years across its full lineup, including transducers and sensors. Installers who are Airmar Certified Installers (ACIs) can offer customers an exclusive extended warranty on qualifying transducers, reinforcing the brand&apos;s long-term support philosophy.</p>

Product Details

The Airmar B75C-20-HW-MM is a low-profile CHIRP-ready thru-hull transducer designed for center consoles and smaller vessels requiring high-performance fish finding in shallow to moderate depths. This single-band high-frequency transducer combines exceptional target separation for baitfish and schooling gamefish with a wide 30° beamwidth that maximizes underwater coverage.

High-Frequency CHIRP Performance:

Operating across the 150-250 kHz high-frequency band, the B75HW delivers up to 100 kHz of total bandwidth, providing outstanding bottom detail, superior target resolution, and clear fish returns in depths up to 106 meters (350 feet). The 600-watt power rating ensures strong echo returns even at speed when properly installed.

Tilted Element Design:

The B75HW features a fixed 20° tilted element specifically engineered for hulls with 16° to 24° deadrise angles. This tilt compensates for hull angle by directing the sonar beam straight down, ensuring maximum echo strength and accurate depth readings. The transducer mounts nearly flush to the hull for minimal drag and excellent high-speed performance.

Key Features:

  • CHIRP-ready single-band design transmitting 150-250 kHz high frequency
  • 600W power output with maximum depth capability of 106 m (350 ft)
  • Wide 30° beamwidth for maximum bottom coverage
  • Integrated fast-response water temperature sensor
  • Low-profile bronze thru-hull housing suitable for stepped, planing, or displacement hulls
  • Fixed 20° tilt element for 16-24° hull deadrise angles
  • 70 mm (2-13/16") hole size required for installation
  • Exclusive Xducer ID® technology for automatic transducer recognition
  • Excellent shallow-water performance and target separation

Important: This transducer requires a Mix and Match cable specific to your fishfinder/chartplotter model for proper connection and operation.
