Product Details

Sika® Primer-207 is a professional-grade, solvent-based black primer designed to enhance adhesion between substrates and adhesives. This moisture-reactive primer forms a thin bonding layer that creates a strong link between surfaces and Sika's 1-component polyurethane adhesives and sealants.

Key Features:

  • Enhanced adhesion on a wide variety of substrates including glass, metals, plastics, and painted surfaces
  • UV-fluorescent formulation for easy quality control and application verification
  • Single-coat application for efficient workflow
  • Moisture-reactive formula creates optimal bonding layer
  • Compatible with ceramic-coated glass, pre-coatings, E-coats, and more

Application Guidelines:

Shake container thoroughly until mixing balls rattle freely, then continue for one additional minute. Apply a thin, covering coat using a brush, felt, or foam applicator. Ideal application temperature range is 15°C to 25°C (59°F to 77°F). The primer requires only a single application with adequate coverage. The UV-fluorescent property allows for in-process inspection under long-wave UV light.

Professional Use:

This product is formulated for experienced professional users in industrial, automotive, marine, and construction applications. Always perform compatibility testing on actual substrates before full-scale application, particularly on materials prone to stress cracking. Ensure proper surface preparation and adequate coverage for optimal adhesion performance.
