The Simrad RS100-B is a black box VHF marine radio system that integrates Class-B AIS transceiver functionality with a dedicated GPS-500 antenna for advanced collision avoidance and vessel tracking. This modular communication system allows you to stay connected from anywhere on your vessel with support for up to eight handsets and four external speakers.

Integrated Class-B AIS for Enhanced Safety:

The RS100-B features both AIS transmitter and receiver capabilities, making your vessel visible to nearby AIS-enabled boats while simultaneously displaying their positions to you. This integrated AIS functionality provides real-time collision avoidance information in all weather conditions and visibility situations. AIS data can be viewed directly on the radio handset screen or overlaid on compatible multifunction displays, chart plotters, and radar screens via NMEA connectivity.

Modular and Expandable System:

The standard package includes one wired handset (HS100) and one external speaker, expandable to four wired and four wireless handsets plus four external speakers. The system supports Simrad HS40 wireless and HS100 wired handsets, which can function as an onboard intercom system. Wireless handsets feature sunlight-viewable displays that duplicate all radio controls, alphanumeric keypads, handset station naming, and 60-second audio rewind capability for replaying missed communications.
