The Seastar Solutions HK4300-4 BayStar Hydraulic Steering Kit is a compact front mount hydraulic steering system designed for single, non-power assisted outboard engines up to 150 HP on fishing boats, bay boats, and family runabouts. This complete kit pairs the HH4314-4 BayStar 1.4 cubic inch helm with the HC4645-3 front mount outboard cylinder for smooth, reliable steering performance.

• Updated -4 version features redesigned valve technology, more durable check valves, and refined internal layout
• 5 turns lock-to-lock with 1.4 cu. in. displacement helm for precise control
• Patented No FeedBack (NFB) lock valves for enhanced safety
• Standard 3/4 inch tapered keyed steering shaft with 5/8-18UNF threaded end
• Meets ABYC standards and NMMA certification requirements
• Requires 3 inch (76mm) dashboard cutout and minimum 21 inch (534mm) splashwell width

BayStar represents an excellent upgrade over mechanical cable steering for smaller outboards that cruise and run at moderate speeds. This system is designed for single helm, single outboard boats with a maximum speed of 55 mph and engines up to 150 HP. Note: Hydraulic hoses are sold separately to allow you to select the correct length for your specific installation.

Important: Do not use automotive power steering fluid or ATF - always use Dometic specified hydraulic steering fluid only. This kit replaces the previous HK4300A-3 model.
