The SeaStar Solutions HH5217-4 is a front-mount, 1.7 cubic inch displacement commercial-grade hydraulic helm pump featuring repositionable stainless steel O-ring (ORB) hose fittings. Widely recognized as the world's most popular hydraulic boat steering helm, it delivers smooth, efficient no-feedback steering for both inboard and outboard marine applications.

Engineered for today's high-performance hulls, this commercial helm supports single or multiple outboard engines up to 700 HP combined and is the OEM choice for center consoles, cruisers, and more. It is suitable for most hydraulic steering applications on inboard, sterndrive, and outboard boats up to 50 feet in length.

The HH5217-4 is the current-generation replacement for the HH5217-3 and original HH5217, featuring updated ORB fittings. Use service seal kit HP6037 for helm maintenance. Always use SeaStar Steering Fluid or Mil Spec H5606 fluid — never brake fluid. Do not use Teflon tape or Loctite on fittings, and do not install NPT fittings into the helm pump ports.
