The MC 36160MC is a replacement air flow sail switch designed for select Atwood AFS Series and DFS Series furnaces. This sail switch functions as an air proving device, serving as a critical safety component in your RV heating system.
How It Works:
The sail switch is a safety component that will not let ignition occur until it sees 75% of the motor's rpm's. It ensures that the combustion wheel is rotating fast enough so that there is a proper air and gas mixture for smooth ignition. When the paddle of the switch is depressed, there should be continuity through the switch.
