Product Details

The Sierra 18-0672-9 Exhaust Elbow Gasket is designed to seal and cushion the connection between the exhaust manifold and elbow on MerCruiser stern drive engines. This gasket plays a critical role in maintaining proper separation of cooling water and exhaust gases, helping prevent catastrophic engine failure.

Key Features:

  • Sold as a convenient 2-pack (quantity of 2 gaskets per package)
  • Meets or exceeds OEM specifications for reliable performance
  • Designed for GM V-6 and V-8 engines with center rise outlet exhaust manifolds
  • Specifically engineered for closed cooling (fresh water) systems
  • Full-flow composite construction for durability in harsh marine environments
  • Matches OEM openings and bolt hole patterns for quick, easy installation

OEM Cross-References:

  • MerCruiser: 27-41811, 27-860231, 27-863725, 27-8637251
  • Barr: MC-20-87918
  • GLM: 30220
  • Osco: 8503-GB

Regular inspection of exhaust system risers and manifolds is essential marine engine maintenance. Replacing exhaust elbow gaskets after inspections is considered best practice to ensure continued seal integrity and prevent leaks.
