Product Details

The Sierra 18-2156 is a replacement tilt shaft designed for OMC sterndrive systems from 1964-1986 (excluding Cobra models). This critical component is part of the tilt gearbox assembly and carries the worm gear that controls the tilt mechanism of your outdrive.

The fork end that connects to the hammer blow coupling is a common failure point on the original shaft. This replacement shaft provides a reliable solution to restore proper tilt functionality. Installation requires replacement of seals and gaskets (sold separately) and proper adjustment of the tilt motor clutch for optimal performance.
