The Sierra 18-2648 Upper Unit Seal Kit is a comprehensive seal and gasket kit designed for MerCruiser stern drive upper gearcase maintenance and repair. This aftermarket replacement kit is manufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications, providing reliable sealing performance for your outdrive.

Application:

  • MerCruiser #1 Units including R, MR, and Alpha One Gen I drives (serial number 1684188 and up)
  • 888 stern drive models (serial number 3106717 and up)
  • Note: Not compatible with Alpha One Gen II drives

Kit Contents:

  • (2) Gear housing drain screw gaskets
  • (1) Water pocket cover gasket
  • (3) Oil seals for drive shaft, shift shaft, and propeller shaft
  • (1) Seal ring
  • (1) Bushing
  • (4) O-rings in various sizes

Cross-Reference Numbers:

  • Replaces MerCruiser OEM part numbers: 26-32511A1, 26-32511B1
  • Replaces GLM 87500
  • Replaces Mallory 9-74303
