Product Details

The Sierra 18-4458 Exhaust Protector Valve is designed to prevent water from backing up into your marine exhaust system during following seas and when maneuvering in reverse. This heavy-duty rubber flapper valve provides critical protection against water intrusion that can damage your inboard engine.

Key Features:

  • Fits both 5" and 6" exhaust outlets - 6" fits without modification, 5" requires cutting at marked section
  • Weather-resistant EPDM rubber construction with UV stabilizer for long-lasting durability
  • Includes stainless steel clamp for secure installation
  • Designed to mount on the outside of exhaust tips
  • Compatible with Chris-Craft, Chrysler, Crusader, Pleasurecraft (PCM) Waukesha, and Mercury/Mariner inboard/outboard engines

This exhaust flapper valve replaces OEM part numbers including Mallory 9-44002, GLM 89260, and Mercury 700-834800A5. The compounded rubber flapper design effectively prevents backflow while allowing exhaust gases to exit freely.
