Sierra 118-72000 Carburetor Float for Mercury Marine WME Carburetors

The Sierra 118-72000 Carburetor Float is a direct-fit replacement float designed for a wide range of WME series carburetors used on Mercury and Mariner outboard motors. This critical fuel system component regulates the level of fuel entering the float chamber, ensuring proper fuel delivery and consistent engine performance.

The float assembly rides on the surface of the fuel inside the carburetor bowl, controlling the needle valve that stops and starts fuel flow. A damaged or stuck float — whether lodged open or closed — can cause fuel starvation or flooding, leading to rough running or failure to start. Replacing a worn float restores proper carburetor function quickly and affordably.
