Sea-Dog Line 173573 Standard Thimble 3/8" Black Nylon

The Sea-Dog Line 173573 is a 3/8" standard rope thimble constructed from durable injection-molded black nylon. This essential rigging component is designed to protect rope from contacting the load it is hoisting, preventing the eye splice from being crushed while significantly reducing chafe and abrasion at critical connection points.

Key Features:

• Injection-molded black nylon construction for durability and corrosion resistance
• Fits 3/8" rope diameter
• Protects eye splices from crushing under load
• Reduces rope chafe and abrasion at attachment points
• Ideal for floating rope, pennants, and general rigging applications
• Lightweight design perfect for marine environments

Thimbles are a critical component in proper rope rigging systems, extending rope life by distributing loads evenly around the eye splice and maintaining the integrity of the connection point. The nylon construction makes this thimble particularly well-suited for applications involving synthetic ropes and marine use where corrosion resistance is essential.
