Dometic 36165 Furnace Air Flow Sail Switch with Bracket Upgrade Kit

The Dometic 36165 is a replacement furnace air flow sail switch kit designed for select Atwood AFM and AFL Series furnaces, as well as compatible Dometic DF furnace models. This upgraded kit replaces the older 33082 kit and includes both a high-quality sail switch and upgraded mounting bracket.

Safety Function:

The sail switch is an air-proving safety device that will not allow ignition to occur until it detects 75% of the motor's RPM, ensuring that the combustion wheel is rotating fast enough so there is a proper air and gas mixture for smooth ignition. This important safety feature detects air flow and verifies that the blower motor is functioning properly before allowing the furnace to ignite and begin heating the air.

Key Features:

• Compatible with select Atwood AFM and AFL Series furnaces and most Dometic furnaces
• Includes upgraded bracket design for improved mounting
• Durable and reliable construction for long-term performance
• Easy to install and use
• Replaces kit 33082 and supersedes part numbers 31094, 33063

Troubleshooting:

When examining the sail switch, it's important to verify that there is continuity through the switch when the paddle is depressed. Common issues that may arise with sail switches include bent paddles, loose wire connections, or the presence of obstructions that hinder proper contact between the paddle and the switch contact.

This OEM replacement part ensures your RV furnace operates safely and efficiently, providing reliable heating performance when you need it most.
