Product Details

Interlux Toplac Plus is a silicone alkyd premium gloss yacht enamel designed for all substrates above the waterline. This advanced formula is easy to apply by roller without the need for tipping, and contains UV filters for increased durability. Available in Anthracite Gray (YLK315), this one-quart can provides professional-quality results for marine topside applications.

Key Features:

  • Improved aesthetics over traditional Toplac with enhanced Distinction Of Image (DOI) and flow characteristics
  • New formula eliminates the need for tipping when using a roller application
  • Advanced formula provides highly durable UV protection for longer lasting gloss and color retention
  • Does not require sanding between new coats within the overcoating window
  • Practical coverage of 489 sq. ft. per gallon
  • Recommended number of coats: 2-3

Suitable Substrates:

  • Aluminum, zinc-galvanized steel, epoxy composite, carbon fiber, cast iron, GRP/FRP, lead, steel, wood, bronze, and stainless steel

Application Specifications:

  • Can be applied by brush, roller, or spray - roller application does not need tipping
  • Touch dry at 15°C in 3 hours
  • Overcoating window at 15°C: minimum 16 hours, maximum 3 days
  • Application temperature range: 5-35°C ambient and substrate, 15-35°C product temperature

This premium yacht enamel is not suitable for permanently immersed surfaces and is designed specifically for above-waterline marine applications. Toplac Plus is Interlux's replacement for the discontinued Brightside Polyurethane marine paint.
