The Barton Marine 44010 Boomstrut is a maintenance-free boom support system designed for sailboats up to 6m (20ft) in length with a maximum boom tip weight of 6.3kg (14 lbs). Working alongside your existing kicker or rope vang, this innovative device creates upward lift on the boom to maintain optimal sail shape even in light winds, while preventing the boom from falling onto the deck when the sail is lowered or the topping lift is released.

How It Works:

When you pull the boom down with a conventional kicker, the Boomstrut flexes. Releasing the kicker straightens the fiberglass rods, which lift and support the boom automatically. This creates consistent upward pressure that maintains sail shape and prevents boom sag.
